We are heartbroken, our beloved sweet dog Nana passed away suddenly last night, the boys and I buried her in the woods in the back of our garden under a beautiful maple tree this morning. We will miss her so much.
I am a jewelry designer living in a small Vermont Village with my husband Ronen, we have three sons in college
Hi Tam
I completely understand, my parents dog, Holly, who was dearly loved by all the family dies about three weeks ago. The folks house feels VERY empty without her. Even though its so hard to be without them, its nice to know she went quickly without suffering, hope Nana was the same.

She looks just like our Nana, that we had to give to the Humane Society cause she kept jumping our 6 foot tall fence and running into traffic. They kept her as their mascot, then promised her a good home in the farm. Your post brought back memories of how heartbroken we were to let her go. We think of her every year and wish things were different. That was ten years ago. She would've been about 15 or 20 now.
Hugs to you and yours.

I'm so sorry for you. I know how much it hurts. I'm glad that you still have her near. That's what we did when we lost our 15 year old golden.

So sorry to hear about your lost. I know that dogs are the most loyal animals and they love you unconditionally. Especially kids are attracted to dogs and they like to play with them. I saw a movie recently, called Hachiko and it's about a dog who lost his owner but he keep hoping that he will come back, the movie is very touching and you can't hold some tears.

So sorry for your loss...Here's a wee poem for you and to your beloved Nana...xo
MY FOREVER PET
There's something missing in my home, I feel it day and night, I know it will take time and strength before things feel quite right. But just for now, I need to mourn, My heart -- it needs to mend. Though some may say, "It's just a pet," I know I've lost a friend. You've brought such laughter to my home, and richness to my days. A constant friend through joy or loss with gentle, loving ways. Companion, friend, and confidante,
A friend I won't forget. You'll live forever in my heart, My sweet, forever pet.

my thoughts are with you and your family. losing a pet is the saddest thing ever. we lost our beloved Gus (a 5 yr old Boston Terrier) un-expectantly last year on mothers day - i still can't even bring myself to fully immerse myself in the events of the situation. i wish for you much comfort.

Tamar, Im so so so sorry :( Altough I have cats I know your pain. Last two years I lost two beloved cats.. Take your time to goodbye Nana but then, the best what you all can do is to recreate pain & suffer energy for love & halp energy for the another creature - maybe from homeless dog shelter?
Hugs and warm thoughts, Olga

Dearest Tamar, I'm so sorry for your loss. After 11 years a pet becomes family and you'll miss her so so much for a long time. Even after 19 years it still makes me cry when I watch old family movies and see my dog (who I had for 17 years) waddle in the screen. Bless them. I wish you and your family all the best dealing with the emptiness that's left behind. xox Yvonne
