It's been so peaceful here at home for the last 10 days that i've been actually resting and taking it easy, my favorite thing to do is to knit, and i've been doing that a lot this week.
Some special requests from the boys and some for myself since I really fell in love with the slouchy beanie style and can't resist making more and more of them...so easy and fun!
so here they are:
this one is for me, made from Cascade Baby Alpaca I had left over from last year
I used lots of little pieces of left over wool for this one for my husband, but I think we will share it...
this one is my favorite made with Amazing from Lion Brand yarn, the color is called Joshua Tree, but seriously I drool over every single color this yarn comes in.... I eliminated some colors I don't like wearing in this scheme like bright fuchsia. The pattern for this hat is on the back of the label, or you can download it for free here , it calls for a garter stitch which I changed to a knitted stitch and knitted it on the round.
I am still working on this one for my son, more of the Cascade Baby Alpaca in a lovely shade of blue (#562), this time I am using the above pattern exactly as is, I will show you a picture when I'm done.
all together now
by the way, do you know about the amazing Ravelry site? if you don't you must check it out, it's a knitters heaven.
I am slowing down now, orders in the shops are back to normal so I have little time left to knit, but I will finish the blue hat this week I hope.

I love the hats, they're wonderful! I just started knitting again and I'm loving it. And, yes, I recently joined Ravelry! It's amazing, isn't it?! Happy New Year!

WOW Tam! You are such a great knitter! I may just be one of those people who simply can never learn to knit. I have tried and tried. But I do love the process of sitting there and doing it. BTW I met the makers of Ravelry last summer at Squam and they told the story of how the site came into being. It's a miracle these people aren't sitting in a corner shaking with their eyes crossed. Talk about a labor of love! They are a married couple and so funny and adorable! Happy New Year! Suzen
