We had an extremely hectic week as always during the last week of school, the main event was our eldest son graduation from High school, he will be off to college in august, I am in total denial and can't even begin to imagine what it will be like around here with him away but I am not even going to go there yet, the summer is long and all three boys and their dad just left for Israel for a month to visit family and friend, they haven't been back there for 2 years and they grew so much, I am sure it will mutually amazing for them to meet there old friends after so long!! This is also the first time ever for me to be on my own for so long, so far it's ok, a little strange, I am focusing on enjoying my time alone, it's a good opportunity for me to re-group and concentrate on moi! I also have loads of plans, starting with NYC next week, catching up on a ton of work and wholesale orders and more then anything massive re-arrangements and closet cleaning all well over due.
I will post photos of all of the above when I start my projects, in the meanwhile here are some photos I took this morning of corners of the house with some new stuff.
starting with an amazing cotton Granny square throw
it matches the colors on the couch in an amazing way!!
Next is a chair I re-upholstered a few weeks ago, this was my grandpa's favorite chair, I am very happy with the way it came out, the fabric is very thick linen.
we also bought a few "new" vintage chairs (the darker wooden ones on the right) to add to the other mismatched chairs around our dining table
here are few additions to my growing collection of plates
and some new random photos of the kitchen shelves I took this morning, here are the plates...again...the colorful one is sooooo pretty, it's a Kim Parker design. They are both from HomeGoods.
and a few more shots of my favorite kitchen corner
can you tell I move things around a lot...?

I love your place. It looks comfortable, colorful and welcoming. Looks like a place I'd like to visit.

Absolutely wonderful...I love these colors everywhere...
I have a question: I felt in love with the lovely plates from Homegoods. Unfortunately, I live in France and can't buy some of them. Could you help me to get some?
Thanks for answering on my email.
Have a nice day...

What a gorgeous house you have. It looks very calm and peaceful. All those colours and patterns but with the white background it doesn't look overly busy or fussy.

What a great little tour - thank you. You have a lovely home and fabulous taste. It made me smile to see all of your lovely things and how much they mean to you.
Love, love the granny square quilt and the strawberry plate.

I love those pictures. Can't wait to see more as you tackle your projects.
I would miss my family terribly if they went away. But oh, to have all that time to myself! I think I would survive! :-)
My son--my youngest child--is heading off to kindergarten (full day!) in Sept, & I am distraught! I can't begin to contemplate college....

I think it would be pure bliss to have the house to myself for a month :) I hope you enjoy your time.
You continue to amaze me, though, with the similarities: we have family in Ramat HaSharon, Jerusalem & En Vared (sp?)(on the kibbutz). We were just there last August for my youngest sons' Bar Mitzvah. It was my 4th visit, but definitely the best ever.
