I've been reading some lovely blogs this week, everyone is talking about spring, oh how I wish it were here already, I think I am getting a little of the winter blues

Fairytale Bird cages

I renewed and updated a fun product this week, Fairytale Bird Cages,if you like my Dreamcatchers I hope you will also like these. This time my husband makes them not me (they look so much better) and I get to wrap them with new and vintage flowery cotton strips and decorate them (my favorite part anyway)! and yes, they are a lot of work but I've been having so much fun with them and they in return have been flying out of my shops and have proven to be a wonderful wholesale item, yeayy!
So here are the specs: 19" high, 9" wide and they are available here.

Spring Photo Shoot

Today I did 2 little mini fashion shoots for my spring collection, I've been wanting to do this for a long time, it was so much fun!!! It was also the first time I actually photographed the whole shoot myself, I usually do the styling and production, I think it's really important to actually see the jewelery worn, I know I always look for a model picture before I buy anything.

I've been wanting to tell you about Jamie Oliver's brand new magazine, I LOVE  him, I love his cook books, I really enjoy his cooking shows and last year I purchased his DVD cooking series "Jamie Oliver at Home" through Amazon UK which is fantastic, it's all about cooking vegetables and his amazing garden, the DVD was so inspirational to me that it really got me going and I have been cultivating and taking my kitchen garden a lot more seriously this last year. So, when I had a 2 hour lay over in London and spotted his new magazine I was so thrilled!
The magazine also has a great supplement with a new line of products for eating and entertaining that are designed for by some great designers for him, here are some photos of this new line:

Fabric Flower Rings

Second post of the day...but I got really excited about this little fabric flower rings I am making as part of the new spring collection, I really wanted to share this with you and would like to get some feedback possibly? I just posted in in my Etsy shop, can you believe I reached the maximum 100 items in my website, I love Big Cartel but that is really a problem for me...
The fabric flower is completely handmade from Liberty of London fabrics that are very delicate, the flower is then finished with a little glass bead and mounted on an ornate vintage brass base that is adjustable. Each ring is different,It's very time consuming but fun!

New spring fabrics and charming pins...

I know I promised to show you some photos of the new Spring fabric collection I finally finished buying last month, so, here they are:

The fabrics are all cotton, I like it that some are a bit more romantic, some a little Indian looking and a few are just very simple and fresh.

The pins are 3" long and are really loaded with charms, many vintage,crystals,antique buttons, vintage beads and a little tail of vintage fabric is ties to the end and can be removed or not.

Renovations Before and After

This was such a crazy week I didn't even have time to tell you that you about our living room/studio renovation. A few weeks ago my husband came up with a wonderful idea for my studio space, I was feeling very frustrated with the tiny space in the back of the dining area, every time I moved something fell, I couldn't find anything anymore, everything was tucked away under the table since the space needed to be presentable, after all it is where we entertain, and a lot!
Then there was the shelving issue in the living room, we were getting really sick of our Ikea shelving system that had moved with us for the last 12 years....it didn't really fit the space and they were getting slightly shabby, so he tied it all together, the Ikea shelves would move into the back of the dining room, my table was placed under the window (I now have the most amazing view of the garden) I bought loads of craft boxes and switched covers for a colorful look, everything has a place and purpose and I am soooo happy!! In the living room he built shelves that actually fit on both sides of the wood stove and go up all the way making the ceiling seem higher, we were also amazed how much fits into them, even the board games have a place!

Hello hello!

Hello hello all, I'm back, I missed you, it's good to be home!
I thought I would be able to blog from Tel Aviv but here is how it went, I got off the plane on Friday morning all happy and cheery, sooooo super happy to see my family and friends and by Saturday night I was flat on my back with the worst flu ever!!! oh my, it was so horrible, I couldn't believe this was happening and to top it off my poor dad got sick too! it took me 2 years to go back for a visit and here I was sick as a dog! thank god my sweet sister and family took such good care of me!  I was in bed for 10 days but after that I started to feel a little better and did get out to my favorite sights, got to see my closest girl friends and ate at some real good restaurants, so it wasn't ALL bad.
remember my blog about "The Ever Evolving House"? it was about the house my sister and I grew up in in Tel Aviv, it was designed by my dad who is an architect and we lived there since 1964, a super avant guarde house at the time, I later on moved there with my family in 2000 a few years after my mom passed away and lived there until 2005 when we moved here to Vermont, the photos in that blog where published in a magazine and were taken when we lived there, now my sister and family live in the house, it changed again and in my eyes it is now the most beautiful of all times! my sister and husband are both artists and the house is now a wonderful and quirky mix of art and objects:
