Hello hello all, I'm back, I missed you, it's good to be home!
I thought I would be able to blog from Tel Aviv but here is how it went, I got off the plane on Friday morning all happy and cheery, sooooo super happy to see my family and friends and by Saturday night I was flat on my back with the worst flu ever!!! oh my, it was so horrible, I couldn't believe this was happening and to top it off my poor dad got sick too! it took me 2 years to go back for a visit and here I was sick as a dog! thank god my sweet sister and family took such good care of me! I was in bed for 10 days but after that I started to feel a little better and did get out to my favorite sights, got to see my closest girl friends and ate at some real good restaurants, so it wasn't ALL bad.
remember my blog about "The Ever Evolving House"? it was about the house my sister and I grew up in in Tel Aviv, it was designed by my dad who is an architect and we lived there since 1964, a super avant guarde house at the time, I later on moved there with my family in 2000 a few years after my mom passed away and lived there until 2005 when we moved here to Vermont, the photos in that blog where published in a magazine and were taken when we lived there, now my sister and family live in the house, it changed again and in my eyes it is now the most beautiful of all times! my sister and husband are both artists and the house is now a wonderful and quirky mix of art and objects:
My sister's new paintings on 30ft high main wall
An old display hutch and a painting by my sister
A lovely mix of old and new chairs around the dining table
A quirky display with a pink rose
The 30ft high space and glass ceiling
The front garden with a miniature orange tree
beautiful bright red and white Rananuculus flowers on the dining table
The entrance with a bright yellow bike
Front door looking into the house
Another gorgeous display of fresh Rananuculus flowers in unusual colors
Tomorrow, the new fabrics I got for my Spring-Summer 2009 collection.
