Sunday morning

There was something about the light in the bedroom this morning that made me want to take some new photos, maybe it's the giant Sugar Maple tree the casted an amazing filtered light on the walls, maybe it's because I had enough of the darker rich colors of the bedspread that made me want to change everything to white and I found all my old embroidered white linen pillowcases. Here they are, some new photos of the bedroom.

this Japanese kimono belonged to my mom when she was little. My mom was born in Shanghai in 1931, my grandparents came there from Paris because my grandfather had opened a travel agency office, the kimono was acquired on a trip to the Japanese sea shore in 1934, this was all about a minute before the war, before they went back to Paris, before they escaped to the south of France, then to Portugal and managed to board the last boat to the NYC...the little kimono survived all that....

What a fantastic idea for the earring tray. How did you attach the mesh?

Love the sweet kimono too!

Beautiful Kimono!

I see a lot of earrings from India... :-)
